Model Maker · Designer · Sculptor                                                           Photo Gallery

My love of sculpting and drawing started way back home, as a young girl, on the farm. After high school, I pursued my interests at Portland School of Art, now known as Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine. I received my degree in 1980, but my practical experience in the model making and design field started in 1982 after moving to Rhode Island. I worked in-house as a costume jewelry designer and part-time model maker at Swarovski, Ltd for nearly six years. In 1989 I launched my own business as a freelancing model maker/designer. Hasbro, Inc became my first big account. In the twenty years I've been in business, I have worked with large and small companies.

My skills include sculpting models in different waxes, clay and assorted other materials as needed for metal casting, crystal casting, porcelain casting and cold cast materials. I sculpt figurines of many types such as people, animals, and animated characters including Disney. My work includes other items, too, such as picture frames and torah pointers. Many items are from my own designs. I can work from a very rough sketch or a very tight drawing.

My Work Process

I will be glad to meet with you or we can easily work long distance via phone and the internet. I can work from your ideas to create a design and then I'll sculpt the model; or I'll work from the design that you provide.

I take photos as the model progresses and e-mail them to you for your comments and revisions as needed. Turn around time on a project depends on the size and/or complexity of the design and your needs!
